It’s been almost a year since beloved Americana (and newly preggers) husband/wife outfit, the Joiners, rocked The 5 Spot. It was thought to be their final show in Nashville before they headed to Alabama be with family and raise some baby Joiners. Turns out, they’re a bunch of damned liars! Much to our excitement, the former East-Siders are making a return to The 5 Spot tomorrow night, and this time they’re bringing a bunch of Trey Deuce club dudes.

For those of you who have yet to experience the Joiners, we’d like to think of them as a cross between The Decemberists and Drive-By Truckers if they read lots of Henry Miller. Except with way less songs about rape. And if they had a total babe on drums. Just sayin’. Honorary Joiners and usual Americana band suspects Joe Bidewell (Sad Apartment, John Cale, Nico) and Andy Willhite (basically every band in East Nashville) will round out the line-up tomorrow night.

The Joiners will be playing the 5 Spot this Thursday, July 21st at 8:30 PM. Hands Down Eugene, Banditos and Ol’ Mossy Face support, and the show is the usual 5 bucks. Get your beards ready, Nashville!
